Winston, you're a keeper!!

Winston has been with us for about 10 weeks now..

(he's 3 and a half months old)

(he's a Chihuahua cross shihtzu)

He has licked and smooched his way into our hearts..

Even the handyman can't deny he's cute..

Yep, he's a keeper.....Even though....

He has dug 4 holes in the garden,

Eats whole snails (shell and all),

and pulls my succulents leaves off..He's still a keeper..

The face of an angel,with mischief just lurking below the surface..

Our summer is drawing to an end.

I'm kinda glad to see it go.

I know all my friends elsewhere are freezing their buns off but I've had enough.

Extreme temperatures,power blackouts and melting humidity.

Queensland ravaged by floods and cyclones.

Sth Australia and Victoria getting washed away

Western Australia burning.

This summer has been cruel.

I'm hoping with the change of season things will settle down, weather wise.

My garden needs C.P.R., it's been crispy fried.

So bring on Autumn/Fall.

I do love wearing a nanna cardigan when the weather starts to change.

What a day..

You just never know what a day can bring..

Today is one of those days, I wish would go away..

A day to shed tears and feel totally at a loss..

Sometimes being a mum hurts..

I know these won't be the last tears I shed..

But,whoever said parenting was easy!!!!

Bathroom cabinet makeover..

Today my bathroom cabinet got a face lift..

I had some french grey paint left from my buffet make over..

The cabinet was originally stained in a baltic pine colour..

Several coats later..

A new green milk glass handle..

A vintage brass shaving mirror adorns the side..

A sweet vintage tin candle sconce on the other side..

Some pretties to dress up the shelves..

It now looks ,Tres chic!!..

(all I need to do now, is paint that door in the reflection)

It's hot!!

Seriously,It's WAY to HOT!!

Today it's 43 degrees celcius: 109.4 degrees farenheit..

The air conditioner is in over drive and it's too hot to even go in the pool.

To all those in the Northern hemisphere who are freezing,I kind of envy you right now..

My garden is dead..

My kids have been melting at school..

Mother nature, give us all a break..

So I'm day dreaming of wearing this..

Whilst sipping on this..

All the while, listening to the hum of my ducted air conditioner..
