Jingle my bells..

It's the 1st of December..

We have started our Kris Kringle at home.

Every day,the 3 boys
(yes this includes my Handyman and 2 teenagers),
get a little surprise waiting beside the advent calendar..

Our tree will be making an appearance this afternoon..

Yes, would love these bells to adorn our home.

But instead our tree will be decorated with:
*playdough wreaths (preschool project)
*pipe cleaner candy canes (kindy)
*tin foil stars (primary school)
*decorated polystyrene balls (weekend crafts from long ago).

And you know what,

I wouldn't have it any other way!

Happy decorating everyone and may those ornaments shine brightly..

  2. I spent the day decorating our tree and all those popsicle stick stars, tongue depressor snowmen, cereal box mittens, etc...brought back such wonderful memories of the little hands that made them and the bright smiles that gave them.

  3. Tara, I am following you back, I can't wait to see how Christmas is celebrated across the pond! Along with playdoh wreaths you will have to add crochet doily trees LOL!

You will have to let us all know if it really is a big deal that Oprah is doing her show from Sydney in a couple weeks. She did a short segment on it yesterday and they showed all of the people in Sydney and how excited they were about her coming. I live in Orlando, Florida about 20 minutes from Disney. So glad to meet you I will stop in again soon.

  5. Hi tara,
I know exactly what you mean; the kids take so much pride in their decorating dont they? I have ended up buying a little one for Sebs room he can decorate on his own! And I have ended up choosing the bits for our tree and pass them to seb (jack is over it now!) so he can put them on and I tweak things a little when he isnt looking!! Maybe I am too naughty! I think i will let sebby put more of what he wants this year on the tree - you have just inspired me!!!
    Love the little bells too!!
    have a really lovely day!
