OKAY,I'M COMING CLEAN..

It's all good, my handy man already knows about it..

You see I'm having an affair..

An affair of the heart..

An affair of the swedish kind..

Not the tall, gorgeous and blonde kind of affair..

But the big, spacious,inspiring and addictive kind..

I'm in love with IKEA!!!!!

Whilst redoing our master bedroom I've been visiting my new love..

I've had stolen moments...Dreamy moments...

Oh yes and some lovely exchanges(of the cash kind)..

Guess what, I'm even happy to share my new love with others..

So do tell..are you secretly in love as well?

New lamp...

Some of you may remember I'm in the process of giving our master bedroom a little facelift..

It's taking longer than expected as we had to order our ensemble from Melbourne..

But in the mean time I'm getting the extras ready..

I won two of these lamps on ebay..

They were the right shape,but wrong colour lampshade..

Nothing a little makeover magic won't fix..

I painted the shades a very pale french grey..

Made the white ruffles from cotton strips..Sewed them on by hand..

I'm so happy with the result..

One down ...One to go..

A new table..

I have been looking for a new entry table for a while now.

My entry way is small.

Today on ebay I found the one.

She's just perfect.

So I thought I'd just share her with you.

I'm calling the table a girl because of her lovely curves.

Isn't she sweet?

There are fairies in my garden....

Finally... The Dresser...

Finally I have gotten round to my old dresser..

You may remember it from long ago..

I made up a very faint french grey colour..

The crystal knobs add a bit of shabbiliciousness (just pretend it's a real word)..

Lightly sanded edges..

Love the original old key..

It sits below my cupboard that stores my fabric stash..

Another project complete...YEAH..

The spring weather is glorious..

So I thought I'd get to some back logged projects..

My handyman made this in his final year of high school many moons ago..

He did such a great job..

It's solid and very cute..

I wasn't going to paint it,but he encouraged me too..

A couple of coats later ,a little sanding, new crystal knobs...

It's just perfectly divine..

Love it...

Welcome back Spring..

Hooray!!!!

Today is the first day of our Spring..

As you know I've been out in the garden in my red gumboots..

*Bindi's killed - check

*Weeds pulled - check

*Pool all sparkly - check

*Talking to my flowers - check

Now Mother Nature, the rest is up to you.

My garden has already started to bloom and I'm so happy.
