Out of total destruction and turmoil a light shines..
Watching the flood crisis on TV, one thing is apparent.
Aussies band together when the going gets tough!
People from every background helping each other..
My eldest told me yesterday that his manager(23yrs old),is taking 2 weeks leave from work to go up to QLD to help with the clean up because, he says, "that's what he feels,is the right thing to do"..
It gives us such great hope to see so many people helping others..
Aussie,Aussie,Aussie..OI OI OI !!!!!!!
Makes me proud to be an Aussie ,how cool is your son's manager!

ReplyDeleteGood on him! My brother is flying into Brisbane tomorrow from NZ to take up a teaching position. He has just told me he wants to volunteer until school starts. I'm proud of him too. Many hands make light work...even if it's horrible mud!
ReplyDeleteWe're all thinking of your fellow australians this past week or so...such terrible days. So great that your boys manager has that 'thing' in him that propels him to action like that..awesome.

ReplyDeleteTara, first for visiting my blog, I hope you like it enough to follow it :)
ReplyDeleteLike in Australia, people in Brazil are being hit hard with showers. Lots, and lots of destruction & death. It's very sad.
I'll be coming back here soon to check on your posts. They seem lovely.
