Missing you..

My eldsest son, who recently turned 18 is on his first holiday without us.
Just him and a couple of mates.
They flew to Queensland 5 days ago and unfortunetly coped the brunt of the terrible weather up there.
He still tells us he's had a good time.
I haven't !
I've never been away from my child this long and I'm seriously missing him.
When he's home, sure I nag him about cleaning his room, helping around the house etc, etc,
But I want him home.
Thank goodness he flies home tonight.
I can't wait to see his face and hug him.
His brother has missed him a LOT and the dog has been sleeping on his bed, just waiting for him.
I'm not so keen on this" kids have to grow up business", it's hard on us mums and I'd keep them with me forever if I could.
So as one child enters adulthood and I slowly get use to the transition, all I can think about is damn it, it's all gonna start again in 3 years with my next one.
Please be gentle with me boys, your mums not use to this adult thing yet.

Oh yeah, by the way, when he gets home he's DEFINETLY cleaning up that bedroom!! xx

  1. I can relate to every single word. It's all going too quickly. xT

  2. My son was always very independent but it still didn't make it any easier to let him go. He will always be Momma's boy!
Oh yes...time to clean that room. Too funny!

  3. Yay! By the time you read this comment he'll be home again and richer for his experience. I love your new header Tara.

Thanks for dropping by.I love it when you visit..xx
