He's growing

Just thought I'd share with you, a very cute picture..

Winston is now almost 3 months old..

Cuter,cheekier and more lovable than ever..

Seriously,don't those eyes just melt you?..

Back home..

We have returned from our holiday on the Gold Coast, Queensland..

The weather was perfect..

We had a great time visiting the theme parks,going to the beach and just relaxing..

Haven't uploaded the photos yet (still in holiday mode)..

I'd like a new light fitting for over our dining table..

Like many of you, I adore chandeliers...

Then I saw this.....

I gotta get me one..

I have the gorgeous china teapot and cups and saucers,

I also have a very clever dad,who I'll sweet talk into helping with the wiring.

I'm sure I can pick up the chandelier arms at a charity shop,

And we all know what a quick spray of white paint can do !!

After our holidays this is my first project..

Hopefully it will all work out..

I'll invite you all for a cup of tea,so we can sit and admire the finished product together..

I'll be screaming..

We are taking the boys to the Gold Coast for a week of adrenaline junkie fun..

Out of total destruction and turmoil a light shines..

Watching the flood crisis on TV, one thing is apparent.

Aussies band together when the going gets tough!

People from every background helping each other..

My eldest told me yesterday that his manager(23yrs old),is taking 2 weeks leave from work to go up to QLD to help with the clean up because, he says, "that's what he feels,is the right thing to do"..

It gives us such great hope to see so many people helping others..

Aussie,Aussie,Aussie..OI OI OI !!!!!!!

Mother Nature..

Why is it that one minute we have the best climate in the world..

And the next,

It is tearing our lives apart..

There is no greater force than Mother Nature,

But I truly believe the people of Queensland are strong Aussies who will battle through this horrendous time..

To all who have lost everything and those still bunkering down we are all behind you sending strength,love and prayers..

He did it!

Well he did it!..

My birthday boy got his learners permit this morning at 8.30am.

By 9.30am he was taking his first driving lesson with his dad.

I'll get involved with lessons when I'm less of a neurotic mess..

I can't believe my child is old enough to drive..

I can't believe how fast time flies.

Happy birthday handsome..

16 Already??

On Wednesday the 12th of January my gorgeous boy will be 16!

I can't believe it..

I feel like we just bought him home from the hospital..

He's turning into a fabulous young man and I'm so proud..

He will be going for his learners permit on this day..(I'm a wreck inside)..

It's early Sunday morning.

Little Winston is on my knee and I'm enjoying my cup of tea.

Outside it is grey, dull and raining.

Now, as you may know I love the rain..The noise,the feel, the smell.

BUT come on, enough already.

Parts of Queensland have been devastated by the rain.

Homes lost,animals and crops dead!

As I sit here in the comfort of my home I'm praying for the Aussie summer to return..

I'm sending my thoughts to all my friends in Queensland.

Keep safe,keep dry and know you're in my heart.

Winny update..

Lots of you lovely dog lovers out there have been wondering what breed our little "Winston" is.

He is a Chihuahua cross Shihtzu.

His dad is a Chihuahua and his mum is a very sweet Shihtzu.

He's settling in so well and is definitely feeling the love..

Here we go...

The new year has begun..

I'm deciding on my first project.

The list is getting long-

*paint hallway

*paint front door- unsure about the colour.

(loving this red)

*revamp tv stand

*repaint kitchen cabinetry

(Loving the blue and white combo)

*buy a new lounge for our family room

(love to relax on this one)

*spruce up my roadside rescued outdoor table setting..

Handy man is home on holidays so I'm going to use and abuse his labour skills whilst I can.

I'll let you know when I decide on the first job I'm tackling

and I 'hope you continue to drop by to see how I'm going.

Winston our new puppy is settling in well and is sleeping through the night_YIPPEE!!

(the collar thing isn't very popular with him)
